Product Review - The Face Shop Gel Eyeliner

Today's review is a little bit different for me just because usually I like talking about the products which I truely do like. But now I want to share about the things I bought and which I regret so far. And again, it is not available yet on The Face Shop on-line English version site but I am more than sure it's available on your local TFS store. I was so excitied when I saw at first this type of products. Because here in Korea not so many of different and not typical make-up items to choose from. I mean something for creative kind of make-up items and tools. At least in my local area. So, my eyes always fall on all "exclusive". And here is a review for my the worst experience ever! I just can't ignore it because of my crappy nature LOL:
The Face Shop Waterproof Gel Eyeliner.

I have all 3 of them: 01 Black, 02 Brown and 03 Purple. Each jar carries 4g. and costs 5 500 won which is something around $5 USD. And on The Face Shop on-line store it got 4 stars! It's incredible! I read other reviews/feedbacks from buyers of this product. And most of them very like it and some of them kind of just Ok with it. But non of them hate those eyeliners as I do!

The Face Shop says: Combined the benefit of a pencil and liquid eyeliner this gel type eyeliner creates natural line like a pencil eyeliner with liquid liner as smudge-proof quality. Waterproof: This gel eyeliner has Perfect Fix Polymer which increases staying power from smudging or fading. It creates vivid and modern look.
Anastacia's Opinion: It is not a secret that I do like this natural beauty store and as I said before I was very ecxiting to try out this gel eyeliners. And I went and bought all 3 of them at once. It looked nice and reliably may be because of the solid glass jar. After the first use of the product I was quite confused. Because the application wasn't such easy as I thought it would be. Because I was already familiar with this type of eyeliners through you tube. And already saw a lot of tutorials where girls used such gel eyeliners and it was pretty easy, at least easier than using standart liquid eyeliners. The consistency of the gel eyeliner is pretty thick originally. When I first opened the jar I couldn't use it with a regular thin eyeliner brush, to put this on I needed quite stiff brush. As well as I apply my upper lid eyeliner on I like to layering it a lot and do it very slowly (under "slowly" I mean at least 2-3min for per eye) so it looks more neat and precise. Because I do a very thick lining for my monolid eyes. When I tried to layer on this product it simply began to crumble off! And because of this I was able to see a clean skin gaps on my eyeliner. So I find that this product dries very fast. You have to be at least a pro or do it really fast to put your eyeliner on before it doesn't get dry up during an eyeliner application. Totally not for me! Because it dries very quick! Here is another cons for the gel eyeliners so far. After I bought these eyeliners I've only used them a little more than a month. After that period I was no longer able to use them in their purpose! The texture got very-very thick and I'm not able any more to get it on my brush.
The Face Shop 01 Black Gel Waterproof Eyeliner
The Face Shop 02 Brown Gel Waterproof Eyeliner
The Face Shop 03 Purple Gel Waterproof Eyeliner

But recently I find very nice way to use the gel eyeliner in Brown for my eyebows. But I only do it for my blog tutorials because it still being too dark for me to wear it during a day time. So, for those who wondering what I use for my eyebrows on most of my pictures, so here is the answer :D I take my harsh/stiff eyebrow brush and very gentely put it on. Which I can't do for lining my eyes with, because the eye lid skin is very gentle and using eye brow brush for that area would be too harsh! Also sometimes I have use to use Black one as an eye shadow base when I do a smokey eyes. But it is hard kind of step, because I have to make it thinner with a cream or any vaseline type of products before put it on. I don't want to get rid of them. If I bought something I have to use them until I finish product. it's just a personal stubbornness and sort of a lesson to myself.
