BABY PHAT - DARE ME

Yes, the same fragrance which began the whole retouched Kimora Lee Simmons controversy. I have no idea why people talk like its new - its been done forever yet every new one gets talked about !

That apart I am drawn to the fragrance's notes except for the blackberry part. I love coconut and sandalwood but will wait till I try the fragrance to give you my full verdict.

This is what I tweeted this morning.

And now I'm wondering if may be I should follow the new It Trend and color my hair in gorgeous springy pastel shades or go for clip in extensions to take the attention away form the grays. Everybody from Ashley Olsen, Kelly Osbourne, Drew Barrymore, and Lady Gaga are doing it.

Of course if I followed everything they did - hair would be the least of my issues.

These new pastel shades of hair color was created by Wella master colorist Eva Scrivo for the Cynthia Rowley Fall '10 runway, using Koleston Perfect Special Mix colors. They were such a hit, she has now started selling colored clip-in extensions customized at her salon.

BCBG Backstage Beauty - Low Chic Hair Bun

The modern, asymmetrical ensembles that ruled the runway at the BCBG show were completed with a contemporary, sleek hairstyle created by John Frieda International Creative Consultant Harry Josh.
Inspiration

“The collection had a clean, modern feel,” says Harry. “I wanted to complement that aesthetic with a very comfortable and effortlessly chic look. The inspiration came from the models themselves, who would come into casting and quickly pull their hair back into a bun. I really wanted to create a look that a woman wearing BCBG would sport herself, since the looks on the runway were also extremely wearable.”

Low Chic Bun : How To ?

Harry began by applying John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease Take Charge Mousse to dry hair and blow drying, using his fingers instead of a brush to separate the hair from the root and create texture. The technique was crucial to recreating the “pulled back” look any girl would get while styling her own hair.

Once the hair was secured in a low pony, Harry added a small amount of John Frieda’s new Root Awakening Strength Restoring Smoothing Lotion to the ends of the hair to ensure the tips were healthy looking and defined. He then wrapped the pony into a twisted bun, leaving the tips of the hair sticking out in a fan-like “fringe.”

“The fringe really completed the look made this low, classic bun a modern, chic style,” says Harry.

How To Make Sheer Lipsticks Darker, Brighter & More Pigmented ?

Yeah...How DO we Make Sheer Lipsticks Darker, Brighter & More Pigmented ?

Stick them in the refrigerator - that's all !

This trick is the exact opposite of the eyeliner trick. You loosen the pigments in the hard eyeliner by blasting it with some heat using a blow dryer. The heat melts the solid eyeliner so the more emollient pencil applies easily.

With sheer lipsticks, most are extremely moisturizing AKA too emollient. By cooling it in the refrigerator we are tightening the texture so it applies more dense AKA more pigment on your lips ! If you try this trick...holla back !

How do you like me now ....

Background Story

Might as well tell you how I figured this out. I store all my everyday lipsticks in a tiny container which I keep close to my bedroom window. The bedroom is the coldest place in my house - real cold. And throughout this winter I've found that even my sheerest Smashbox lipstick applied way better than it ever did in Summer. The scientist in me then figured the relation - cold room, freezing lipstick, dense pigment.
