Beginners Easy Brown Eye Makeup Look : Video Tutorial

Another video !

I still am a long way from doing a great job in videos. But am learning ! You'll see me go up and down depending on how straight I'm sitting. My mirror also kept falling off and I kept going away from the video frame in search of my mirror. You'll notice some quick shots - too quick. All noted and will slowly be improved on for next video.

Making a video is not easy man. Much respect to all those who do it so right !

This one is an Easy Brown Eye Makeup Look for beginners to play with !
No crease, no inner corner, outer corner complications. Its simple and straight forward. Takes all of four minutes to do !

Do me a favor and don't enlarge it to full screen - the quality reduced 100 times and its just weird seeing such a big eye.

Hope you guys enjoy the video !

Brushes :

Trish McEvoy Flat Eyeshadow Brush #21 - for laying the first brown eyeshadow from twilight palette
Fluffy pointed blending brush ( Smashbox Crease Brush #10) - for applying the second golden brown color from NIXIE
Smashbox Double Ended Smudger Brush #20 - for applying black eyeshadow as liner along upper and lower lash line.

CVS has a set of brushes called Essence of Beauty brushes - they are equally good & are budget friendly. I love them !

Easy Eye Makeup Tutorial Videos

Ladies !

If you don't have a youtube account, you need to get one now. Apart from thousands of everyday beauty gurus there are several brands which have their own channels. One of my favorite channels is the Smashbox one. They have their lead makeup artists showing us how to use products, teaching us the latest trends, colors and several new methods of makeup application !

Bobbi Brown also has a channel which is a great source to learn about their new collections and products !

Here are a couple of new tutorials from Smashbox. I love that drop shadow effect ! And the model is cute in a very unconventional way !

Love the makeup ! But the part where the model looks like she is rolling her eyes back into her head is scary ! LOL !

Have you checked out these Halo shadows ? I saw them at Sephora last weekend. But didn't play with them. Do you think its possible to get just one of the colors ? What if I don't want both the shades ?

The Only Thing I Feel Like....

I have loads and loads and loads of stuff to share with y'all !

I must tell you about this new blush + bronzer duo that I am crazy about. I swear I went to bed last night excited I could wear it again and woke up this morning excited to finally be able to wear it.

But I'm not gonna talk about it now...

And then I must tell you about our partnership with HerCut which will give all of us a chance to get our burning Hairstyling questions answered by Kyan Douglas from Queer Eye.

Isn't that awesome !

But No I don't feel like writing about it, either.

Then there is list of hand creams to love / hate. News about a concealer designed with me - a medium skin tone brown girl in mind.

But nope - I don't feel like doing any of this.

All I wanna do is tell y'all about Wayne. Yeah I'm on first name basis with him.

As is the rest of the world but we're not talking about the world, are we.

Lets talk about Wayne.
6ft Tall.
Blond Hair
Green eyes

Like that isn't enough he is a brilliant makeup artist too ! If there is only one youtube guru I could follow for the rest of my beauty blogging life it would be him.

(I'd follow literally too, except I'd be called a stalker. And we don't ever wanna be called that.)

Wayne is a professional makeup artist who has just the most useful makeup tips. You cannot have a bad makeup day if you listen hard enough. And it is hard to listen when such a handsome man is talking. Not just talking but winking too....

Please subscribe to him. I pay more attention to him talking than I ever did to any professor at school. Except for the one who rode in on a Harley. But that's another story for another time.

And if you do follow him / subscribe to his videos or plan on commenting, do leave him a note saying - Indian Girl from An Indian's Makeup Blog sent me here.

Another Braiding Style - The French Braid

Hiya Ladies !

Hope your Friday is almost over and you're looking forward to a glorious weekend !

I not only came over to wish you a happy weekend, I also have a happy hair idea to share with y'all. Couple of days back, while watching late night TV, I suddenly remembered the french braid. I saw a video of it a while back and tried it on my then long hair. Unfortunately it felt way too complicated then and needed way too much arm strength.

Now that my hair is much shorter ( I still have zero or negative arm strength), I gave it a go and 5 minutes later - I had this on my head ! Its something like a rough draft - I didn't have a hair brush handy so its not all neat and tidy. But you get the idea.

There is video below that teaches how to do the French Braid. It is very simple. Don't get scurred of all the technical words like right hand, left hand, ring finger, pinky finger, open up face down in the first video. Sometimes people make simple things way too complicated by explaining it in too much detail.

I started the braid at the back of my head instead of the top as in the video. Anything works ! It will also be great to continue the french braid with a fish bone braid. Go on and give it a go this weekend. Lemme know how it turns out !

Aishwarya Rai & Abhishek Bachchan On Oprah

I just had to post this .

How witty was Abhishek Bachchan ! Love him ! So my kinda guy !
Aishwarya was sweet too. Loved the makeup and the gorgeous saree !
And Oprah. Love me some Oprah ! I thought the built up, thoroughly exaggerated intro for the couple was hilarious . But glad we got represented :)

Take a lookie if you didn't catch it earlier. Big thanks to reader Jezzibel for reminding me about the interview !
